Mit dem Fokus auf junge Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus China wird die Reihe internationaler Kunstproduktionen im Hangar-7 mit Beiträgen aus einem Land fortgesetzt, das sich derzeit global an vorderster Front befindet, hinsichtlich Innovationskraft, Positionierung im Weltmarkt und gesellschaftlichem Wandel. Kurator Chang Tsong-zung aus Hongkong hat einen aktuellen Querschnitt jüngster Produktionen aus zahlreichen chinesischen Regionen - aus Shanghai, Chengdu, Beijing und anderen Orten und Regionen - zusammengestellt. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei, wie bei dem ersten Ausstellungsprojekt, auf gegenständlicher Malerei; Fotoarbeiten und Skulpturen ergänzen den Einblick in die zeitgenössische Kunstszene des Landes.
With the focus on young artists from China, Hangar-7's series of international art production is extended with contributions from a country which now finds itself in the global spotlight due to its strength of innovation, position in the global economy and social transformation. Curator Chang Tsongzung from Hong Kong has assembled a cross-section of recent works from numerous Chinese provinces: Shanghai, Chengdu, Beijing and other places and regions. Just as in the first exhibition project, the emphasis will be on representational painting. Sculptures and works of photography will complete the look into the country's contemporary art scene.
