Karaoke Lecture is a collection of songs written by Anna Kinbom and performed for the audience to sing along to, it has been performed in public spaces aswell as in art spaces since 2014, most recently at
Paradise AIR in Matsudo, Japan and Cité internationale des arts in Paris. The themes of the lyrics are the football world and art world, cyberfeminism, the bank district in Stockholm, water and aerodynamics, philosophy and love, etc. Through different topics, both political, poetic and philosophic Karaoke Lecture is an attempt to not tip over to one or the side, but stay on a line, like in a balance act.... ”I want to explore how little one can entertain to still entertain. When I write my songs I think a lot about childhood, when you sing, you are exposed, like a child.”
