Gerhard Richter ist einer der bekanntesten und erfolgreichsten Künstler der Gegenwart. In den Museen und Ausstellungshäusern der Welt sind vor allem seine Gemälde geradezu allgegenwärtig. Erstaunlich selten hingegen wurden bisher seine Editionen in Ausstellungen präsentiert. Das verwundert umso mehr, als Richters künstlerische Praxis um die Aneignung von Motiven, die Frage der technischen Reproduzierbarkeit und um die Medialität des Bildes kreist. Die Ausstellung "Gerhard Richter: Printed!", die vom Kunstmuseum Bonn initiiert und zusammengestellt wurde, bietet nun mit über 200 Werken die Möglichkeit, diese Seite des Schaffens des 1932 geborenen Künstlers in ihrer Vielfalt und Komplexität kennen zu lernen.... /// Gerhard Richter is certainly one of the best-known and most important German artists of our time. Especially his paintings are virtually omnipresent in the museums and exhibition houses around the world. Astonishingly, his graphic work was rarely presented. This is even more surprising since Richter's artistic practice circulates the adoption of motifs, the question of mechanical reproducability and the mediality of the image. The exhibition "Gerhard Richter: Printed!" - initiated and assembled by the Kunstmuseum Bonn - including over 200 works offers the opportunity to get to know these sides of the production of the artist born in 1932 in all its variety and complexity.
