Grahame Weinbren talks about the changing structure of long form films under the influence of interactivity and random access to materials. Is it true that the database is gradually replacing the narrative as the fundamental structure of media works? Because of newer technologies, we are now able to understand a sea of simultaneous story- streams better than a single "narrative" line? And we have come to believe that nonlinear, multi-faceted compositions represent reality better than the Aristotelian model.... (...)
