The title My own clean self refers to a normative notion of identity as
something pure that can be contaminated by the "other". The pure/impure
dichotomy is embedded in a wide range of social rituals and t he idea that
identity is defiled by wrongness and transgression is closely related to
conceptions of cleanliness in hierarchic structures.

The performance My own clean self is an attempt to investigate ideas and
rituals of defilement and purification in pop culture, philosophy, religion
and art.... A display of absurdities and unobvious connections with references
to Albert Camus and AC/DC.
