The first solo exhibition in Austria by Carlos AIRES – 1974 born in Málaga – is shown in the basement of the gallery. AIRES focuses in his Vinyl wall objects as well as in his photographies on the morbidity of the daily grind. Whereas AIRES broaches the issue of social fringe groups and their psychic realities in his photographies, he creates in his serie „Love is in the Air“ a shuttering double entendre. The substructure of this serie was AIRES’ research on images of catastrophes which loose their meaning and brutality if they are detached from their background....
