Erinnerung - der analytische Zugang zu vergangenen, vergessenen oder verdrängten Wirklichkeiten, über und durch die Verwendung von archivarischem Material, steht zentral im Werk des deutschen Künstlers Marcel Odenbach. In den letzten Monaten entstanden eine Reihe neuer Collagen in denen er sich mit dem Ort und der Vergangenheit des Friedrichshofs auseinandersetzte. Für seine Videoarbeit "Ausser Rand und Band", koproduziert von der Sammlung Friedrichshof, konnte er erstmals seit der aktuellen Öffnung des Archivs der Kommune Friedrichshof auf Dokumente aus der "Aktions-Analytischen Kommune" Otto Muehls zugreifen....

Memory - an analytical approach to bygone, forgotten or repressed realities by means of and through the use of archival material - is central in the work of German artist Marcel Odenbach. In recent months he has created a series of new collages that address the location and the history of the Friedrichshof Commune. For his video 'Ausser Randund Band', co-produced by the Friedrichshof Collection, he was able to access documents from Otto Muehl's 'actions-analytical commune' for the first time since the recent opening of the Friedrichshof Commune Archive.
