FUTURE MEMES OF THE HAPPY DISENFRANCHISED gibt Aspekte des Lebens des Kurators in den letzten Monaten wieder, in denen er sich mit Extremen auseinandersetzte. Aber je mehr Sie darüber nachdenken und sich einige der gezeigten Objekte und Aufführungen genauer ansehen, desto mehr könnten Sie zu dem Schluss kommen, dass es in dieser Ausstellung nicht nur um eine Obsession von ihm geht. Eher geht es hier um ein Gefühl, das wir alle einmal hatten, nun nicht mehr haben und das wir uns wieder zurückerobern wollten.... Das verbindet die Positionen dieser Ausstellung. Obsession, der Selbsthass, der mit dem Erkennen dieser Realität einhergeht, und die kulturelle Selbstmedikation, die hilft, mit dem umzugehen, was wir nicht reparieren können. Letztendlich wird FUTURE MEMES OF THE HAPPY DISENFRANCHISED unabhängig von Kontroversen, Irrtümern oder Entfremdungen vorrangig erstmals ihre eigene Agenda sichtbar machen, nicht dass es uns an Hoffnungen und Ansprüchen fehlte.


FUTURE MEMES OF THE HAPPY DISENFRANCHISED chronicles portions of the curator´s life over the last couple months that had him delving into extremes. The more you think about it and go back to re-watch some of the things shown, you might end up at the conclusion that this exhibition is not only about an obsession of him. A feeling we all once had, had no longer, and strived to recapture. That's what ties this exhibition together. Obsession, the self loathing that comes with recognizing that reality, and the cultural self medication to help to deal with what we'll be unable to fix. Ultimately, FUTURE MEMES OF THE HAPPY DISENFRANCHISED will continue to do its own thing visually regardless of controversy, errors or alienation, not that we lacked hopes and aspirations.
