Unter dem Titel "M Stadt" widmet sich das Kunsthaus Graz dem heutigen urbanen Gefüge der mitteleuropäischen, mittelgroßen Stadt. Protagonisten der Ausstellung sind die Stadt Graz selbst sowie vergleichbare europäische Städte: Basel, Krakau, Triest, Ljubljana und das urbane System des Ruhrgebietes. Diese Städte sind Ausgangspunkte für künstlerische und theoretische Auseinandersetzungen, die das komplexe Thema unterschiedlich erfahrbar machen.

"M City" is the title of the exhibition dedicatet to the theme of the central European, middlesized city.... Graz itself features as protagonist for this exhibition as well as other comparable European cities such as Basel, Krakow, Trieste, Ljubljana and the urban system of the Ruhr Basin. These cities serve as a point of departure for artistic and theoretical examinations, offering different views on this complex subject.
