"Die Ausstellung hotspots beleuchtet Künstler und Orte, die für den traditionellen Museumsbesucher nicht zugänglich sind. Sie versucht gerade das zu zeigen, was auf dem Kunst- und Ausstellungsmarkt nicht sichtbar ist, möglicherweise aber die Zukunft der Kunst in starkem Maße beeinflussen wird. Sozusagen ein Blick hinter den Vorhang in eine Zukunft, die man zumindest ansatzweise erahnen kann.... Darüber hinaus ermöglicht diese Ausstellung auch Vergleiche innerhalb der künstlerischen Positionen, um Ähnlichkeiten und Unterschiede herauszufinden, die in den einzelnen Positionen oder Städten bestehen mögen."
"hotspots sheds light on artists and places which are not normally seen by traditional museum-goers. It tries to show precisely what is not visible on the art and exhibition market, bat may well have a strong impact in the future of art. It is, if you like, a glance backstage to get first glimpses and impressions of what the future may bring. Moreover, the exhibition also invites comparisons among the artistic positions represented to learn about the similarities and/or differences between and among the individual artists or cities."
