It is probably impossible to contemplate the buttocks from a strictly sexualized point of view: what I mean is that if an artist went so far as to focus only on this part of a man or a woman, they would certainly miss the very substance of the buttocks, which is ambiguous by nature. But ultimately, they might gain something else.
And what do, as a matter of fact, Manja Zore´s photographs show? Women from the back, headless women, sometimes even body-less women, and a profusion of breasts sprouting bizarrely from where one least expecs them to.... Like some strange creature in the manner of Max Ernst. (...)
