A retrospective selection of the work of Heinz Cibulka (b. 1943), a representative of new Austrian photography, will display works created over the course of three decades. A characteristic feature of their presentation is associating individual photographs in picture blocs ? with this the author aims to achieve a perception of several sensorial experiences at the same time: what is seen, heard, tasted and recognized by touch. Cibulka?s photographs represent a kind of author?s diary, reflecting experiences and sensations contrary to one another, the poetics and banality of the everyday with naturalistic expression.... In the context of the Austrian artistic scene, the author is very close to Viennese ?Akcionismus?, especially in the early period of his career.
