Piet Mondrian is very like Vermeer, yet the opposite. The cerulean blue employed by Mondrian is the same color Vermeer loved so much. And the yellow of the apples is the same as Mondrian's yellow. Mondrian and Vermeer are both Dutch. Vermeer is almost everything and Piet is almost nothing....
