Im Mittelpunkt von Judith Fegerls künstlerischem Werk steht die symbiotische Verbindung von Mensch und Maschine, von Körper und Technik, von Raum und Zeit. Sie ergänzt organisch gewachsenes Material durch anorganisches und setzt so ein poetisches Wechselspiel zwischen Wissenschaft und Kunst in Gang. Der menschliche Körper dient als Rohstoffquelle und als Resonanzkörper, der sinnlichen Erfahrungen ausgesetzt wird. Elektrischer Strom sowohl als metaphysische Energiequelle als auch als Metapher der Industrialisierung und als Voraussetzung für den Lebensstil unserer modernen Gesellschaft wird plakativ verwendet, um den Objekten Leben einzuhauchen und wieder zu nehmen, um Energie sichtbar und spürbar zu machen.... Judith Fegerl's artistic work focuses on the symbiotic connection of people and machines, of body and technology, of space and time. She produces organically grown material by inorganic means and thus initiates a poetic interplay between science and art. The human body serves as the raw material source and as a resonant body which is exposed to sensory experiences. Electric current, both as a metaphysical source of energy and as a metaphor of industrialization, and as a precondition for the lifestyle of our modern society, is used strikingly to bring life to the objects and to take them back again to make energy visible and perceptible.
