The Cercle d’Art des Travailleurs de Plantations Congolaises (CATPC) is a grassroots organization founded in August of 2014 in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Gathering members from cocoa and palm oil plantations in various parts of the country, the Cercle d’Art aims to remunerate the contribution its members make to the world, beyond barely paid labour. President of the Cercle d’Art is René Ngongo, member of the Congo’s Social-Economic Council and recipient of the Right Livelihood Award in 2009.
