foundation is an exhibition space and a curatorial studio based in Vienna. The platform facilitates artistic practices focusing on institutional commentary and contemporary discourses across the media. In detecting the voids and frictions of institutional staging, foundation aims for generating a base for artistic research and establishing broad and unexpected collaborations across the field. The space was founded by Aljoscha Ambrosch and Jakob Rockenschaub in spring 2017 and extended in fall 2019 with the entry of Jennifer Gelardo.... The art association has terminated its activities in december 2020 and is grateful to have been part of a lively community for 3 ½ years.
