Galerie Klein

Galerie Klein is a 130 x 100 x 50 cm exhibition space conceived and built as an artistic work by Hansi Fuchs in 2021/22 .
Inspired by the Stettheimer sister’s dollhouse from the early 20th century, which houses small-format works by Marcel Duchamp, Georgia O’Keefe and other artists of their time, the project aims to to think the potential of downsized dimensions within an exhibition context further. In collaboration with Milena Langer, Galerie Klein will be site of a changing exhibition program.... Galerie Klein is a mobile exhibition space that offers the possibility to unite works by international artists without demanding a high budget and to view them in concentrated spatial relation to each other. Unlike the Stettheimer Dollhouse, which hasn’t seen any other place than the Museum Of The City Of New York since 1945, the gallery can change its location for each exhibition.
