GRANULAR=SYNTHESIS sind Pioniere der audiovisuellen Medien, die sich seit 10 Jahren der Verschmelzung von Ton und Bild widmen und sie in ein kohärentes Medium überführen. Als wesentlichen Teil ihrer künstlerischen Praxis entwickeln sie Software, die es ihnen ermöglicht, Video als intuitives Instrument zu spielen. GRANULAR SYNTHESIS bauen mit ihren fast symphonischen Aufführungen und Installationen an Gefühlsmaschinen, die das Publikum umzingeln, die Sinne überwältigen, angreifen, berühren. gelatin erzeugen Lebensmodelle, die direkt auf einen Ort eingehen, sich auf ihn beziehen und keinen Anspruch auf Ewigkeit erheben. In ihrer oft performativen, subversiven Auseinandersetzung spielt der Zugriff auf Körperlichkeit als architektonisches Element eine wesentliche Rolle. Körper schaffen Orte, schaffen Kommunikation, Selbstvertrauen - Körper ist Raum. Ihre Arbeiten vermitteln die Möglichkeit einer Reflexion über das unmittelbare und notwendige Erleben von künstlerischen Prozessen. Der interaktive Prozess spielt dabei eine wesentliche Rolle.
