Beschreibung

The time has come: the 20 winners of this year’s Open Call have been selected! Our jury chose the 20 projects from a total of 332 submissions from 43 countries using a points system. This year’s theme “Life After Extinction?” definitely posed a challenge, but this made all the submissions we received all the more ambitious and creative. We would therefore like to thank everyone who took part in the open call and congratulate the 20 winners.

This years’ Grand Prix Winner ELLA MORTON comes from Canada, 15 come from Europe, three from the Middle East and one from Australia.

These are the 20 winners, from 15 different countries, and the names of their projects (in alphabetical order by last name):

Abdelrahman Alkahlout, Regina Anzenberger, Leen Aoun, Victoria Margarita Ahrens, Mia Baraka, Carlos Del Rio-Bermudez, Olesya Gonserovskaya and Dmitry Koldyaev, The Hays, Tamara Kalo, Alicja Lesiów, Haohui Liu, Craig Mehra, Ella Morton, Andrew Rovenko, Tim Rod, Aindreas Scholz, Jorden Senior, Maryna Shchehelska, Tanya Traboulsi, Carlotta Valente

The exhibition will be unveiled as part of our festival opening event on November 21 at the Atelierhaus of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (Lehárgasse 8, 1060) at 7 pm.

We congratulate all winners and are already excited for the opening!
