Group exhibition The apocalypse of the white elephant
Basics
– Comenduirea GarnizoanaiDescription
The Apocalypse of the white elephant is a questioning of the now, defined by a complete shift of paradigm. Change is at the same time inevitable and necessary: from completely different yet convergent perspectives it is both a consequence and a solution.
Such a discourse will include several opposite lines of investigation and practice, from the ones accusing the loss of values and the necessity of their preservation to the ones that move the point of view inside a virtual world or set of realities.
Critical and contemplative rather than narrative, the exhibition grows around several hypostases of transformation, centered on nuclei of artworks that identify solutions either in forms of social, behavioral, environmental and pedagogical activism or in forms of fiction, speculation and exploration of the boundaries with a metaverse that is simultaneously an extension and an alternative.
